I tried the new Chi shampoo as soon as Avon started carrying it. I was excited as it was billed to be an Aloe Vera based product and I love anything with Aloe Vera in it. I received my bottle and went to wash my hair while I was showering and as soon as I opened the bottle the floral scent hit me. I dont’ much care for floral scents…I’m allergic to various flowers, including lily, lilac, and several other highly fragranced flowers…so I was deeply disappointed when I got that first whiff of floral. It’s not a strong smell, it’s actually quite mild, but definitely aimed at the female market and NOT something I would recommend for my male customers. The shampoo lives up to its billing…it left my hair soft, moisturized and didn’t strip the natural oils out of my hair. I wish it was a scent free product, or something non floral. I appreciate it has Aloe Vera in it, but the hibiscus and pomegranate make it too floral for me.
